Join the Dominican Center community for O Antiphons: The Tradition and Significance. Advent calls us to prepare, listen, and pray with intention.

The O Antiphons are short, Scripture-based Advent prayers from the Middle Ages that are part of the prayer of the Church in the Liturgy of the Hours. They address Jesus using titles from various prophecies before His birth.

Our experience of prayer can be enriched as we better understand the origin and history of the tradition, the meaning of the titles we use for Jesus, and the meaning for our lives and the world now. We unite ourselves with the spirit of the Prayer of the Church as we use these antiphons in our personal prayer and meditation, in praying the Liturgy of the Hours, or in joining the Sister in praying them in the Dominican Chapel at Marywood.

You are welcome to bring your Bible if you wish to do so. or you may use one of the Bibles at Dominican Chapel. FD: Spirituality

And, don't forget to join us at Dominican Chapel at Marywood as we pray the O Antiphons Dec. 17-23, 7:00-8:00pm each night. All are welcome.. See who our inspiring guest speakers are.
