Spiritual [non] Resistance ~ Practicing the Welcoming Prayer
With Matthew Laidlaw
The act of resistance has the power to advance justice. It has mobilized movements, awakened communities, and transformed societies. Yet resistance in the spiritual narrative can have a depleting effect, often leaving us with great uncertainty and with a weak grounding to continue our daily lives.
Spiritually, there is counter intuitive wisdom in spiritual [non] resistance. It is wisdom that helps heal us and wisdom that brings us closer to our own truth in the process of befriending ourselves. It is wisdom so needed in these days of uncertainty. Join us as we explore spiritual [non] resistance that opens us to healing and spiritual grounding.
We welcome Matthew Laidlaw, founder, director, and lead teacher of Open Circle in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Matt as he weaves us through the Welcoming Prayer by Father Thomas Keating to welcome ourselves.
