You, God, have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your record?
~ Psalm 56:8

Who among us is not feeling loss right now? So much has been taken from so many - our parents, our incomes, our freedom of movement, our long-planned-for celebrations, our friends, our family members, our work, our health, our hopes.

This year has called us to be attentive to loss and to the truth of impermanence. The human experience of loss is inevitable. Through practice, insight, and stopping to look deeply we may be worked by loss, learn from it, and love through it. Grief is a natural reaction, an individual reaction. There is no timetable for grief. Grief is love that has nowhere to go.
