New Art

My name is Shawnt'e Monroe and I was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. I came to Grand Rapids in the year of 2016 in hopes of opening a bakery, but quickly learned how difficult that dream was to accomplish due to having to remain at work to support myself. After coming home after working long hours, I had an image of artwork manifest in my head. I then made the decision to head to my local hobby store and gather the materials to recreate that piece I had seen. After a couple of weeks, I reproduced the art. Everyday since I created my first piece, I worked endlessly adding to my collection. Not only am I a baker, jewelry maker, and poet, I can now add self taught artist to my list.
